The Ebro River: A Symbol of Defiance and Loss
A short film about the enigmatic and picture perfect source of the River Ebro in Cantabrian territoy. The Ebro River forms a major east-west route in Iberia and marked the southern boundary of Cantabrian influence. For the Romans it was an important supply line and one of the few accessible approaches into the Cantabrian highlands - this was the corridor through which their power eventually advanced. Its loss sounded the death knell for the Cantabri.
